the bbc has a GREAT program on called "100 Greatest Britons" and ladbrokes is taking bets on who's going to be #1. Top 3 will probably be Churchill, Shakespeare, Newton or Diana.
But definetly, I think Churchill will win. Great war-time leader (with exception to the Gallipoli campain in 1917). One of the factors Britain resisted so well when they stood alone against the might of the Nazi's. He campaigned his countrymen to keep on fighting and surely enough they overcame the odds and fought off fascism...leading up to its ultimate defeat in 1945. You surely got my vote Churchill!
