Reality Check on Operation Iraqi Freedom : "Over in Days" or "Cakewalk"

Search
List anybody in the Bush's Administration who said Operation Iraqi Freedom would be over in "days" or that it would be "easy" or it would be a "cakewalk."

for that matter List anybody in the political arena and even talking heads on these 24 hour newsstations that said this would be a cakewalk or easy. I think most people in office said this would not be easy.

I believe it will get done but the forces will basically have to level everything and bury the bodies of both the innocent and guilty. Baghdad will be going down in a fierce and bloody battle. Nothing but rubble. It will take years to rebuld this.

Dumsfeld said it would be "soon" several times. Soon is an ambigous word though.

several months. If the US realizes that will cost too many lives and just decides to go ahead and win regardless of the liberal hand wringing the majority of the fighting could be over in 2 weeks.

Gulf 2, 8 days, thus far successful.

Clintoon in Bosnia 78 days of bombing and we still have troops there.

Whether it takes 7 days, 7 months, or 7 years in no way speaks to whether it is justified or not.

7 days, 7 mos, 7 yrs...does not speak to whether it's justified but it certainly may speak to whether it is wise. Just because a war may be justifed does not mean it is the right thing to do.

>here you go fat frank

DannyMay, I see that these "facts" are as shaky and wrong as your "Clinton won a majority of the votes," Dummy.

Here are some REAL numbers that Rummy used:

--------
Mr Rumsfeld is in Europe to try to gain backing for possible military action against Iraq.

"It could last six days, six weeks. I doubt six months," he said, speaking at the American air base at Aviano, in northern Italy.
--------

six days, six weeks. I doubt six months

Even this quote shows how much of a fool rumsfeld is.
Big difference between 6 days and 6 weeks. But the point is made- he doesn't care. Why? Because he wouldn't know fighting if it hit him in the face. Serving in a DC think tank is hardly serving your country. How could this coward know how much time it would take to fight a war?

>But the point is

You're a dummy... You have no idea about war. How old are you radio?

As if the US hasn't been bombing Iraq for the past 12 years.

Frank, WHERE ARE YOUR FACTS?

Answer the question. Period.
No name calling. No condescending remarks.

Where are your facts in support of this act of aggression?
You have none.
