Those of us who were against this war, were not against it because we love Saddam. That is a label that certain people like to put on us. It really is a veiled threat. Either we support our gov't in any war it wants to jump into, or we are in love with the enemy. This is the reason why more people dont speak out against this war, because they dont want to be labeled tritors or Saddam lovers.
I dont love Saddam, and I never have. But that doesnt mean I am going to blindly follow George Bush or whoever the President might be at the time. I am not going to just accept him at his word and support sending many young Americans to their deaths just because he says so.
He has lied to us about WMD's. Even the war supporters realize that now. They are desperatly trying to change the reasons for this war and get away from the WMD's. Now Halliburton ( Cheneys old compnay - big surprise ) gets to make several hundred million dollars off this ( and a few million more by "mistake" ). I wonder how many of Halliburtons Executives have children fighting in Iraq ??? NO I dont wonder. I know the answer --- Exactly 0 !!!

I was against the war early on, but since it had gone as far as it had, I was very glad to see him finally captured. Now get the people out of there before we lose any more lives. He finished what daddy couldn't, but it cost a hell of a lot of lives.

Grabted I am an american and may be somewhat ethnocentric. For a hillbilly in 1860 wanting the confederacy to win the civil war may have been ethnocentric. For a german supporting Hitler may have been ethnocentric etc etc. But at least in America we have the right to express our views, Nazi Germany??
