UNITED KINGDOM – As reported by This is London: "Bookmakers face their worst summer ever if England win Euro 2004 and Tim Henman lifts the men's singles title at Wimbledon.

"They are bracing themselves for a big payout after thousands of punters snapped up odds of 11-2 for England and 5-1 for Henman, said Ladbrokes. Wayne Rooney has also been heavily backed to score first in tonight's match against Croatia…"

wil.

PS. I believe Rooney assisted on England's frist goal and scored two others later.

As some in England will tell you, the day a Brit wins Wimbledon and the English win the Euro or World Cup is the day hell will be freezing over and then people probably won't be too worried about collecting

What kind of fools bet 5-1 on Henman to win Wimbledon anyways? That has got to be high on the list of sucker specials. If he fails, as he most probably will, the bookies will be raking in some serious dough...
