Excuse me for posting this here, but the soccer forum isnt exactly kicking.

How likely are the favs to win?
I dont follow it too closely, but I like them both....France is a big dog, with England being a more reasonable -140

Thanks

Wizzah, I haven't looked at the odds, but no way in hell France is a big dog to the Swiss, even if the full team isn't playing.
England only needs a draw, I believe, so that result wouldn't be shocking. It seems the juice is too steep for two teams that are not in must-win situations.

After last nights result, both teams will be desperate to win their group in order to meet Greece in the next round, rather than play Portugal in front of a home crowd.

France are not playing well but its hard not seeing them beat the Swiss. The England game is not so straight forward, Croatia are no mugs and are sound defensively. Personally its not a game I would put money on.

You could do worse than bet Czech Rep to win the Tourny at about 7/1.

Defending champion France and England reached the quarterfinals of the European Championships on Monday, joining Portugal, Greece and the Czech Republic. France defeated Switzerland 3-1 in one Group B game, and England beat Croatia 4-2 in Lisbon in the other. France finished atop the group with seven points and England had six.

Of course I passed on both
If I would have taken them they would have both lost.

I was going to take a two team parlay with both favs...I ended up passing at the last second.

I will be more apt to take games that I think look good in the future.

Italy is -500 tomorrow yikes

Anyone like Sweden?

France only has one guy carrying the whole team over his shoulders. You take Zidane out of the equation and they got nothing. England looks more like a real team.... Rooney is just too good.

Germany is clearly not the same team it was years ago. They have been struggling ever since the 2002 World Cup final when they lost to Brazil. They tied against another struggling team like Netherland and a very poor team like Latvia in this euro 2004. My guess... they won't even make it to the next round when they lose against one of the surprises of the tournament, the Czech Rep. on wednesday and Netherlands beats Latvia.
