Is Swapbets a proper betting exchange?

I have never used Swapbets but until recently had always assumed that a bet once placed on a betting exchange was valid and would not be void for any reason, so long as the event actually took place.

I am a regular user of Betfair and have neve had any bet voided. however, I am aware of several cases where Swapbets have voided bets of over $2,000. The reason being "the person who offered you this price realised they had made a mistake so we have voided."

My suspicion is that it was Swapbets themselves or related parties that offered these prices. Once they realised they had built up an awkward liability they voided.

In my view this is not how a proper betting exchange works but I would appreciate other views on this.

You may soon be able to add TradebetX to the list of sh*t exchanges. Stay tuned!

i believe swapbets have had a change of ownership, not certain tho, never used them.

If you are after an exchange try
ibetx and ehorsex, betp2p they are all safe and sound.
