A good place to start, as good as any ! None are 100% objective. I disagree with some of their ratings, but the "A" ones are all good.

Some of the lower ones, are way low ! Others are too high, but it's my opinion vs. theirs.

Impossible to be 100% accurate. They do what they can with what they got and can get. I still believe we are better off with than without.

SBR downgrades books that refuse to give kickbacks. I would be skeptical of anything SBR reports.

They are the biggest joke out there. A guy that woudn´t give his name called my friends office and knew details only SBR and the office would know and told my friend he would help raise the raiting for a certain price.

dead on you should change your handle to dead wrong... If I had to guess I'd say you work in a slow pay shop that SBR has blasted.

They not even mention ladbrokes, or william hill... or what about eurobet(Coral) They own a shop in every single corner in the UK? Is that not solid enough??

IMO a true watchdog is a gamingboard, they can regulate companies by setting standards.

I careless about the opinion of SBR

SBR is NO watchdog. They are a revenue genrating enterprise feeding off the losses of sports bettors. They won't admit it, but considering most of their top rated books(VIP group)pay big PCT. of losses back to their affiliates, its obvious.

I personally have no problem at all with affiliate programs, but when your trying to be a sportsbook watchdog and you rate Gameday or VIP over WSEX or Grande shows that your wallet is getting in the way of objective opinion.

Also, how on earth is Carib a C- or Gamebookers a D+. Any problems that either of these books have had in the past pale completely when looking at the overall quality of each book. Its enough to make me think that you don't even play at the books that you offer ratings on and if that's the case, how the FVCK can you rate them!

Personally I never trust the so called experts, I judge by my own experience and how long a book has been in business, period.

IMO, SBR is good for the lastest rumours, a solid database of all the sportsbooks out there and a rating system for how much books pay their affiliates.

Superstar,
SBREuro is coming soon.

Oil,
It appears you have bought what a jealous few have been selling.

Everyone has their list of favorite books. Whether or not you choose to reference SBR’s is up to you. It is common that players are biased towards the type of books that service them the best. SBR recommends different types of books because there are different types of players. If we had 5 books catering to professionals, your post would be replaced by someone else’s complaining about lack of bonuses and transfer costs.

Your opinion that history is less relevant when the current quality is high is not the consensus. Carib is a favorite for some but SBR is not ignoring recent issues. In time they will be assessed again. SBR takes factors into account that players may forget about.

A or A- or A+
B or B-
These report card type ratings need to show how many points were deducted for what and how many were added for what?

On another subject-closely related--does the RX prefer Sportsbetting.com over other advertizers? I see that their ad is usually on top ? Do they pay more for this?

Pinnacle, Cris, 5Dimes, Grande, Wsex as an All-Pro team. If people want to debate about who they like the best... Well that's what forums are for.

My opinion as a player may be overlooked due to this screen name and thread but I still like the feel of playing with a VIP, bet365, WOS and BoDog. But, when I am at BoDog I know what I am getting and don't jump in the forums crying about nickel limits.

Many times when a player complains about a where he is its because he brought his swimsuit on a ski vacation.

Believe it or not, I've seen players complain to SBR that Pinnacle charges for 2nd monthly payout transfer and no book that charges should be a top rated book.

Dozer,

First off I think history is the MOST important issue when discussing a book not affiliate payouts.

I can agree to disagree with your ratings of Carib and Gamebookers, it's your opinion, that's fine. However what the heck are you basing your opinion of Gamebookers on? From what I've seen

"Originally posted by Buzzsaw:
The ratings on the euro books have been getting updated. There is thin feedback and most of it on Gamebookers is player complaining about shoty customer service."

Not much.

You guys are fairly smooth talkers and may even believe what you're spewing, but the point is that you are clueless to the operations of many of the books you're rating.

To be honest I like your site, it has some good info, its setup well and the books you do send people to will pay. However take a history lesson, books like Carib built this industry, they were long before you and Dozer I can guarantee they will be here long after you and Gameday are gone.

Do you consider the potential for having their bank accounts frozen "history"?

Converse built the sneaker industry. Nike bought the broke company.

You're not the first to give recent positive feedback. They are the type of book players root for. If you look at the history on SBR you can see we are always reassessing these books. We have planned to look at them again shortly.

I'm gad you enjoy the site.

Oilman I respect your criticism. Some is unfounded but that's because your guessing on how SBR works. The rest is good.

Maintaining a recommended list is very subjective.

Let's take a look at GD vs WSEX. GD has 24 hr phone and email support, WSEX does not. GD has unlimited free withdraws, WSEX does not. GD has a 20% bonus, WSEX does not. GD has a fat rebate program, WSEX does not. WSEX is a great book and so is GD. SBR tries to produce a recommended list that appeals to the entire pool of players and not just to sharps and forum guys who make up about 5% of the player pool. By the way, GD is owned by VIP which is every bit as strong as WSEX if not stronger.

Carib has been as high as A- but their well documented legal troubles and a web site that is always in trouble during football has caused them to slip.

SBR is made up of hundreds probably thousands of subjective opinions. Not surprising at all players can find something to disagree on. SBR staff often openly debate the pros and cons of grade changes and the recommended list.

I do admire that you both have replied respectfully.

As for Carib, I have been a customer there since 1995, which was a phone account, my first encounter offshore. They have never slow payed me or anyone else that I have heard of. There were legal issues recently, but Carib never stopped paying. There were website issues, but Carib never stopped paying. If they stopped paying or even slow paid me once I would NEVER go back, but it has never happened.

As for the comparision of WSEX and Gameday, please. I have played at both, ofcourse I have played at WSEX alot longer. I have been paid by both, but I have only had my limits cut at one of them. Now I'm not like most of the boys here, I think its perfectly all right for Gameday to cut my limits or even boot me, its their business. However to compare a book that offers interactives, an outstanding futures market platform and takes a big bet to a book that has garbage software that times you out pretty quick and then limit you to $100 bets just because you won a couple of games is kinda of silly.

I totally agree Gameday is a decent book for someone starting out and that they serve a niche in the industry, but what good is a 20% bonus if they take it away after you beat them a bit? What good is free payouts when your limits are as small as other books charge for payouts? What good is a rebate program if your not even allowed to stick around long enough to use it.
