I was watching Knute Rockne-All American which I hadn't seen for a while on cable yesterday. One of the unique scenes in this movie which was made in 1940 is the gambler talking about the money he made betting on Notre Dame. Knute threw the gambler out of his office but not before the punter said he won a bet giving 14pts and laying 2-1. Back in that era I don't think they adjusted the pointspread but just moved the moneyline. I also enjoyed seeing the real Pop Warner and Alonzo Stagg who played themselves. Even Mr Spaulding is in the movie, founder of Spaulding Sporting Goods.
