Just wanted to admit culpability publicly, because you *KNOW* I'd be standing on a soapbox screaming and bragging if it turned out I had been right...

...I was *DEAD* wrong on the Lakers. Dead, dead wrong. I was completely taken in by the hype, seduced by the aura of LA's big four, convinced that Detroit -- while an impressive, scrappy team that I was rooting for for the sake of all underdogs -- didn't stand a chance.

I believed that before the series began.

I believed it after the game one thumping.
I believed it ESPECIALLY after game two, when I groaned, realizing that LA's awesome comeback would turn the tide and Detroit wouldn't lead, much less win, another game.
I believed it after the game 3 destruction.
I believed it after the game 4 pummeling.
I even believed it after 3 quarters of game 5...that somehow, Kobe would find a way, the Lakes would pull it out, and eke out wins in game six and seven.

But I was wrong. Boy was I wrong. I put my money where my mouth was, and lost on LA in game 1, didn't play game 2 (idiotic), lost game 3, lost game 4, lost game 5 and lost 2nd half of game 5. I was totally on that horse.

And I was schooled.

I stand corrected!

And now, back to bases.

Knowing you were wrong and learning from your mistakes are what separate the good ones and the great ones. Best of luck in future endeavors dogs24.
