At this point the best advice I can think of is to get a good nights rest, and try to approach the first tee tomorrow with a positive mental attitude. That first tee shot could well set the tone for your round. Just play your game, trust your swing, and have fun.

Best of luck, wil.

When you get there tomorrow, go straight to the putting green. More than likely they will not be counting on you for your drives or approaches. Your short game is the fastest and easiest thing to work on and it will take some pressure off the rest of your game. thanks Buddy4r

Thanks for the replies....

It poured rain all day..I mean poured... But it was rain or shine..27 holes...

First 9 ---38
Second 9 ---39
Third 9 --- 40

I missed two easy 4 footers for bird....

Finished 6/28..tourney was capped at Thirty..athough two dropped out due to weather.

Prize: $ 103 (6th place)

I just started playing last year and I am completely hooked...I play petty much everyday, as I work at the airport which is attached to the Golf Course.

I think I ve peaked for a while...

I hit the range everyday for at least two or three buckets but am having a hard time with my putting lately. I use an Odyysey White Hot two-ball putter and sometimes lose feel of the ball inside 6 feet? I have heard others say this before and I wonder what I can do change that?

Yesterday----missed four putts inside 6 feet, two of which were inside four feet. But probably made...6 or more 10 feet or more, one of which was aorund 20 feet. I need to be more consistent on the green in order to become a "player".

Putt to a tee in the ground with your eyes CLOSED. the aim is to feel where the ball ended up - just that.

Concentrate 100% on where you think the ball has finished, then look up and check. Make no attmept whatsoever to change the swing, address pos or anything else. just feel where you think the ball is going, see if you can improve where the ball finishes compared to where you thought it went.

You can obviously play golf. the aim of this drill is to get back to the basics of touch and feel, with no pressure of the hole to concern you. It is NOT generally for use on the course unless you are really struggling.

Half an hour of this has never failed me, and I am generally regarded as a really good putter. When you can play the game well but the putts are not quite dropping, its normally the feel you need to regain. Sometimes you feel where things are not quite right and naturally adjust - last time - April - I could feel that impact was generally just a little towards the toe away from plumb centre.

Just a 1/4 inch adjustment was all it took for me to feel every putt out of the middle again, with immediate improvement in results on the course.

Main source of this was "Inner Game of Golf" - a must for all of us who can only practise 2 or 3 hours a week at most.

Railbird,

Thanks Buddy....I m headed out to the course now..I plan to spend about an hour on putting today so I will use your drills and hopefully I can get some feel back. This drill sounds very good, I appreciate the response.
