The unthinkable could be about to happen as the Detroit Pistons of the WNBA have taken the mighty Los Angeles Lakers of the NBA to the brink!

Even though the series should already be over , and even though every game has been dominated by Detroit (Who has CRUSHED LA) you can be rest assured the Lakers backers will still swear their team will prevail.

Not since Joe Namath and the NY Jets in Super Bowl III has there been such an accomplishment....this could put the WNBA on the map for good, similar to the AFL back in the early NFL merger years..

Go SHOCK !

Game 5 is Tuesday night, and the Pistons could become the first team to bring the title back to the Eastern Conference since Michael Jordan's Chicago Bulls won it in 1998. Pistons clearly the better team no matter where they play.

They have been beaten and beaten handily...this will be the end of the Lakers reign (this version anyway) many chapters closing here, Kobe (jail or new team), Malone ( will deliver bulk mail in his 18 wheeler), Payton (the glove no longer fits) Phil my fingers Jackson (happy trails Phil) and the other cast of hasbeens Grant, Russell, Fox (the Jello is a jiggling)

I just knew that the WNBA "We Got Next" campaign would pay off as well as Mrs.Reagan's "Just Say No" campaign did one day.

I don't think the Lakers' play identifies with the "Let's Get It Started" theme?..they're playing along to Petty's "Free Falling", soon to be singing The Beatle's "Yesterday."

I would like the intrique of it getting back to LA though, but the gap is so wide as of now, that the Lakers are making it hard for any help by Stern's zebras to not look obvious, as opposed to their aid when versus Portland & Sacto in previous years.

Look for the Laker lovers to come slithering out of their holes tomorrow and say we just need to get back to LA. In reality they have to beat a team that has dominated them 3 straight games to win the series.
