Have the bookies prepared for Denial Of Service attacks during NFL 2004?

I see where several Euro 2004 Gambling Sites have been hit By Denial Of Service attacks. Just reminds me of what we are probably going to see for NFL.

Any thoughts or opinions?

with the abundance of broadband always on connections/clueless users that don't have antivirus and are full of spyware/malware.............

it will be VERY hard to completely get rid of it

I am just surprised there haven't been more cures for this, whether it be ways for sites to deny access to the traffic or ways for people to clean up their messes on their computers.

Yeah, maybe this year the books can all agree not to pay (instead of a few books encouraging them by giving in).

Java, that is very important. I guess there is just not the teamwork among books that we would like to see which would better serve the players interest. I doubt it ever will be. Hard to believe these guys would give in to hackers.

yes, solid books have found solutions to the problem. Spent the so called extortion payment on a permanent solution. Up time will be 99%.

As I have been saying all along, why don't the "connected" books simply take out a "contract" on the groups doing this?
