Made 4 baseball wagers all in the 2 dime range, all 4 won, rollover complete. 500 bonus removed upon withdrawal due to the excuse of sharp plays. Just got 200 of it back in 2 hands of blackjack elsewhere.

Please define why your plays were considered sharp plays if you could.

Thanks

According to their review by the lines dept. I beat them to the number and something was said about playing their overnight lines and they said they cater to recreational players only. I never play overnight lines and of the 4 plays I had the mariners -103 on sunday in which they won by one run, giants -160 runline on monday, rangers -127 on monday in which they won by one run and the A's -162. As you can see, these are not sharp plays. Just an excuse to remove the bonus as the account is still open to wager. No big deal, just letting it be known.

They have done this to others. Becoming a pattern. And from my understanding we have a certain site manager to blame for this. He beat them so bad, that now anyone who bets a good number is feared.

"Beat them to the number"??
Can someone find out what this books pays Daily Racing Form to advertise on their website?

Also I see that they advertise on E-Ponies.com
This website has a forum and is located in Kentucky. How do they get away with this but the RX had to be sold out of US?

From what I have read and heard OMT, the JD is methodically and even quietly letting operators know of their displeasure.

Some books like to use a rule to keep bonus monies issued to players even if the player meets all rollover requirements.

The rule is simply "We reserve the right to revoke bonuses on professional players".

I think it is more like a way to keep the bonuses of winners. If I deposit 10 dimes today and get 20%, there is a chance I will win money and satisfy rollover rules. Just because I win does not mean I am a professional player.

And there is always the catch all "These bonuses and incentives are subject to change without notice."

C'mon Sportsbooks. If you do not want the winners atleast do them right and pay them in full & then boot or reduce limits.

By stating they are steam chasers, professionals, or somehow abusing your bonus because they win & stealing their money is an unethical approach.

I am all for loyalty to the books from players, but I cannot see not paying a player just because you assume he/she is a professional because they happen to win.

You tease them in with a nice bonus and then do not want to pay if they win.

If you want to play, then be willing to pay.

Did you sign up with your real name or did you use a fake name? They have a very unique way of catching people using fake names or aliases. Do yourself a favor if you're going to use a fake name or alias call them from a different phone number than you called them with before. The second you call them your account pops up and any other account that used that phone number. Oasis is as fair as they come, they are also on top of people that try and beat the system. If they wanted to beat you they would of kept your two dimes and told you to go f*** yourself.

John,

If you have buddies there, will you ask politely for me if they will answer my email. It would just be courtesy.

Thanks

If "fair asthey come" means cutting people off just before they clear the bonus and kicking them out with their money, then they meet your definition. I personally don't have a big problem with it, but don't act like this is something unique or that fake names have to be involved. I know two legit players who have had this happen to them in the last couple months. I think they are fairly earning the rep of quickly booting players with a brain.

Considering I used neteller, a fake name or alias would be difficult. As fas as a phone call goes, the bonus was put in automatically and the wager limit online is 3 dimes and the withdrawal request was simple online as well. So the only call Ive ever made there was to see if they messed up on the addition of the rollover and unfortunately this wasnt the case.

Just one more reason, that bonuses are asking for trouble.
That doesn't really bother me, but I get real upset with that "beat me to the number" buisness. It implies that the game is fixed!
If they believe that than why be in the business in the first place!

Touching upon what mvbski wrote.....agree with him.....

So, how does one "beat a book to a number" playing sides in baseball? If gamblingshark had:

Mariners -103
giants -160 runline
rangers -127
a's -162

Does it really matter what price you pay if the team you bet wins? Mariners at -200 would have paid the same.....

Doesn't "beating a book to a number" apply more to pointspreads.....say I got team "X" at -4, and I got the bet in before they moved it to -6.....team "X" won by 5 and I won my bet....

I realize that there is a monetary value in the difference between losing a bet at -103 versus -200.....but how can you really beat a book to a number in a situation where the bet is either win or lose, and has no pointspread?

Marco,
What you say makes sense and I dont understand the beat me to the number explanation at all. I do know though that Oasis would never knowingly cheat anyone. They've been on the scorephone for about 5 years without a single complaint.

You cannot be serious can you? Any competent bettor with a modicum of gambling intelligence will tell you that in order to break even betting -200 you need to hit 66% of your bets. If you are only laying -150 you only need to win 60% of your bets.

Who cares if I have to lay $2.00 instead of $1.50 on the Yanks, they're going to win anyway? There is no way you typed that with a straight face.

To simplify it further you can convert the spread into a ML. The lakers tonight, an 7.5 - 8pt fav, should win the game about 82% of the time, as a -475 fav.
