VWAGER and playerssuperbook? What happened their ads? Should we be worried about these outs??

I am a little worried since I dont see these books on the site anymore!!

I also see that someone got rid of the VWAGER baseball contest!@ Usually that only happens when there are slow pay issues!

What is the deal guys?

Wait a minute! I do still see the VWAGER logo on the home page. Of course the home looks like shit in that blue font!

But where did the baseball contest page go? I wanted to check and see who i took this week.

I noticed the room was down, but figured it was over. No one mentioned it to me. Vwager still has a banner up. I think PSB may have decided not to renew, but I cannot say for certain at the moment.

Contest is not quite half way through yet!

playerssb has some pretty srange rollover requirements for most people on this site. Probably best for them not to advertise here. But VWAGER is still a nice option. The contest that is over is the basketball contest I think GENERAL

Well it is official. Shrink took VWAGER off the site as well! Shrink, did you really have to eliminate the VWAGER contest as well?? I mean they sponsored the contest with some of their own money. That doesnt give you a right to throw them off the site just because they realize that being on the site wasnt profitable for them!

On that note, I cant see how ANY of these books can pay the advertising prices that I hear for ads on this site. Now I KNOW that most people lose, but certainly we have a bunch of winners as well. I remember that bhbookie were only getting about 10 new players a month from this site. I just dont see paying more than $1000-2000 a month for an ad here if that is all of the new signups one can get!

But come on guys, what happened?

I understand they were long OVERDUE paying their advertising bill....

OK thanks, actually I stopped playing with them about 4 months ago when I GOT pissed about a rollover that wasnt listed on the site. Then they TOOK back an advertised bonus.

DOesnt matter much to me, but it was the first thing that I noticed this morning. Weird how no one else noticed though.

Oh yes, after you know alot more later, then I will post some VERY PERTINENT info about the VWAGER group. But no reason to post it now since no one will believe me anwyay. Plus, you will hear about it in 2 days I think anyway, if you dont already know about it.

And I do UNDERSTAND taking down the CONTEST if they were a few months behind in payment. If they were up to date and stopped, then it wouldnt be fair. But I agree that if they were behind, then no reason to give them some free $$$$ to the newbies on the forum.!

How about an "OGD type" guarantee for certain books on this site??? WOuld be a great idea.

Oh yes and by the way SHRINK, everyknown knows that you still "own" the company. Marty cant wipe his own ass I dont think.

Taking down a banner for someone not paying their bill doesn't mean they are going to stiff customers! Don't start BASHING unless you have the facts! They sponsored a contest here what does that have to do with advertising?? Its your posters you are hurting by pulling the contest! V Wager is a good book and will be OK, probably wasn't pulling any customers here so decided to advertise elsewhere!!

I came 3rd in the Rx hockey contest sponsored by V-wager (well actually I came 2nd but was ripped off, right wilheim and general and CIJ?). I rolled the prize over 5 times and took a dime out without any hassle a few weeks ago.
Well, actually I DID have to call and request the withdrawal (an email wasn't sufficient), but their accounting department was open very late at night which was cool.

Shrink, do you expect them to ever do business with you again after telling everyone they're not paying their bills? Seems like you're burning a bridge. Why not just keep it between you and vwager until the matter is resolved?

Shrink might be the Kerry Fraser of the offshore gaming world. Gets burned by PanAm (like Fraser with the Gretzky high stick vs. the Leafs in '93), then overreacts the rest of his career, lol.

I'm trying to get that corrected now DP....it was done while i was at work, and i knew nothing about it til i got home and saw it was gone.....

I am sure the contest will continue, and hopefully Mike will honor the contest, just like he is with PSB....I would expect nothing less from him, as he has always been first rate in my dealings with him....
