QUESTION TO THOSE ATTENDING THERX BASH???

Last year, we had a poker tournament, then a party and we gave away a lot of cash..

This year, we are planning to do the same, but several people have asked me if we are going to have a FEATURED SPEAKER?

My initial response to them has been to go to a conference if they want that because all I want is an informal party where posters can meet one another...

Do you guys agree or should I invite a high profile figure to talk for maybe an hour or so before the party begins?

This is my personal take on this.

There will be so many people (posters) that I will be meeting for the first time face to face that I have gained mucho respect for over the years that I know I will be speaking with them personally for a long extended period of time.

All of these individuals will be my PERSONAL GUEST SPEAKERS, so I really dont need somebody to be speaking to me in a formal way in such a fashion as a FEATURED guest speaker.

If I wanted to listen to a guest speaker, I would order a videotape and watch it at home.
