WHERE IS THE LOVE GUYS?

Why am I not surprised when I read through various threads and see so FEW responses when a poster WINS a lot of money (like betting on Birdstone)!!!

Yet, when a poster loses his bet, and takes an even bigger chance by sharing it with everyone ahead of time, he gets ripped to shreds!

It's no wonder that some excellent handicappers refuse to post their picks here...

Call me crazy, but I believe this problem is fixable, unless most of us are by nature, assholes?!!

Shrink: Mankind is evil, by nature, the ultimate predator ! I watched a show on Animal planet ( 2 hours long ) It described how mankind has made so many species extinct !

In New zealand about 800 years ago, a giant bird existed, called a Moa, basically a 300 pound chicken ! Man killed it to extinction, many others , also such as the Mammoth, etc.

Mankind even eats himself, see the Donner party story.

We are animals, with computers ! Such behaivor, is evident, even here ! Look at warfare, recent or go back , as far as you like ! Mankind doesn't LOVE, he kills !

And a couple years ago it appeared to be more comradarie around here, particularly in the sports forums....you don`t see it as much if at all, I have seen the forum change from posters giving high fives at the end of the night to never acknowledging...not sure why it changed but it has.

Same with poster jealousy in general...after being here awhile you can read between the lines rather easily.

The very same poster could post two thread one saying "Hey I won 10 K in the lottery last night", the other saying "Hey I just lost 10 K betting this weekend"

The losing thread would get all the attention...it makes people feel better to respond to the loser. No doubt

First off, there are not a lot of people who bet Birdstone in the first place. Far more people were touting Smarty and others, so it stands to reason the postscripts will be more heavily weighted towards the losing wagers.

Secondly, most of the people being bashed bring it upon themselves with their bragging and self-touting. I make several picks and usually provide a sound reasoning for them when I post. I have lost my fair share of picks I put on here (sometimes I believe in the Rx jinx, but rarely am I bashed because:
1) I am respectful of others and when someone says something ignorant or insulting, I take the high road and ignore it instead of giving them the attention they crave.

2) I don't tout LOCKS, GUARANTEES, or other silly terms. I just provide solid handicapping and reasoning, and if it loses I move on.

3) I actually live the life. I make my living from gambling both in my vocation and in my hobbies. Many on here like to live in what I call "internet fantasy land" and haven't walked in the shoes many of us have and likely never will. Nothing against that, but you have to take it for what it's worth.

That's just my two cents, sir.

Don't lose sight in the fact that it used to be worse. I, as well, share your thoughts here and often ponder "why".
