If you won POWERBALL...Would you quit gambling, play the same, or become a "Whale" and bet Huge?

Sad to say that I would become a HUGE Whale. I would go to Vegas and play 20k hands of blackjack and fire up 300 grand on games I love. I know that sounds stupid, but I would take a serious shot for a while, and if it went fast would probably pull up when i got down to my last 10 mil. Ain't it fun to dream.

The bigger question I pose is this:

If you won powerball, would you post it here?

Knowing that many gambling addicts, offshore sleazes, touts, and Neteller, and god knows who else has a decent amount of your personal information. Imagine the load of sportsbook calls you would get, and people throwing a tantrum that you won't tip them 100 bucks or more for being a forum friend over all these years.

That said, I know I've posted it in the past, but I still hold to my promise that I'd hold the Rx.com/FunkSoulBrother 1 Million Dollar Baseball Picks Contest.

Don't play Powerball (when it's "worth it"

If I won Megabucks, I would use the first year's installment to take care of my family and get all that estate planning taken care of. It would take that long because I would keep working.

Then, I would go nuts and be a whale...no doubt. Would I try to keep it quiet? Yes, for a while, but too many people know me and the word would get out.

I think the key for any of us with a gambling bent would be NOT to take the lump-sum payout so that even if we blow the yearly stipend, there's a fresh cash-flow coming the next year so it would take you 20-25 years to tap out. And, for that piece of advice, I expect a $100,000 consulting fee from any RXer who does win Powerball/Megabuck/et al.

I'd probably keep gambling.....don't know what kinda $$$ I'd have to roll on a game to even start caring about whether or not I won.....

Definitely set a budget and live within that budget, gambling included...

Definitely retire....why work when it's taking the majority of your waking hours....what, so you can have a few more hundred a week on top of an already unspendable sum, if you live inside that budget?....Unless you're going to live to be a million, why give up a third to a half of your remaining life working, being a cog in the corporate machine and dealing with the pressures and deadlines that working breeds?

If you get bored take up a hobby that doesn't involve powders, pills, needles or a endless river of alcohol.....

better chance of rx and mw becoming one than hitting any lottery. Here in Fl there is a one in 7 million chance of getting killed by lightning and 1 in 23 mill of hitting our state lotto. powerball has to be 1 in 100 million. sad fact is lottery is a tax of the poor. if you would buy a million tickets each of those tickets is 1 in 23million. bad buy.

if i won Powerball (hard to do since CA doesn't have it, but...) i'd do the following:

Find some tropical island where wearing a bathing suit is considered appropriate and where my toughest choice of the day is whether i want 1 lobster for dinner or 2.

i also want to go some place where women wearing g-string thong bikinis is overdressed and if they choose to wear a skirt - it's got to be higher on the leg than the temperature and where the V-cut in their top is as low as my pants 2 seconds after seeing them!
