Not so fast MoTown, even winning game one and stealing home field advantage and having games 3,4,5 back at The Palace, you will need to WIN one more time in Tinsel Town!!!

Very few gave Detroit any chance before the series started, and rightfully so as the East has been nothing more than a good sparring partner in the NBA Finals since the Chicago Bulls reign ended. But make no mistake this title will still be won or lost at the Staples Center in a game 6 or 7.

The Lakers can appear dead in the water as we have seen many times this year, and they can also look like the old Lakers, not OLD LAKERS!, The 'Old Lakers', the team that can dominate and close out a series, shutdown teams with good D, and the power of Shaq and the dominant scoring of Kobe Bryant when it counts...

What will happen when L.A. comes back in game 2 and destroys Detroit?

EVERYONE WILL WISH THEY TOOK THE MONEYLINE AFTER GAME 1, We have seen this way too many times.

Detroit hasn`t really done anything yet, but they have made the NBA Finals worth watching again.

Remember Philly did the same thing 3 years ago, and were still in the end no real threat to win the series.

But still J~Man, there are several in here that I, along with some others, tried to convince that the East had/has the best chance to win the title this year than in most recent years. I know one game means nothing, but the West is weaker & East just a tad stronger this year, equaling my theory. I also stated during the Conference Finals that I believed Detroit had a good chance of beating LA, but Indiana didn't, because of the position matchups. Regardless, at least this should be more of an entertaining Final than we all anticipated at first.......

Guys,

Isn't this a BEST of SEVEN and not ONE GAME?

I GUARANTEE two factors:

1- DETROIT is not as good as they appeared last night....

2-- LA is not as bad as they played last night...

THE SHRINK

One thing is for sure though Shrinkster, and that's Detroit's defense is not only solid, but awesome........and that could make the difference......

You`re NEVER as GOOD or BAD as you look on any given day.

Hache~ I agree the West has come back to the pack some, just pointing out how quickly people can switch sides...Like announcers who predict things after they happen, they do that all the time. Bill Walton is notorious for calling it after the fact LMAO!

Hey atleasy we have a series worth watching, but don`t be at all surprised if L.A. comes home up 3-2
