If you took LA -7.5 or -8, that is your own problem for being a square and not getting the lakers at a good number.

omnivorous frog - i know you are reading this. maybe you should hang around to learn more about buying numbers at a good price. put your pride in check and start posting again. we both know you desperately want to. you are proving nothing by holding out except proving your childishness.

you do not want to go out like a baby, do ya?

Did he possibly flipflop and got caught witha 7.5?

Hell I can understand being pissed if that happened...I have been talked out of a few winners in my time.....

Frog`s been an interesting read and had unique way about him...no doubt he stood out

Can't you guys read ?

He was on the Wolves last night. He bowed out of here gracefully and respectfully. Much the same way he posted.

Let it go.

Sheesh !

I think the Shrink should make a statement expressing regret for the LA-Min game. This example is precisely why we need an automated system that has lines and odds built in leaving no fuzziness to be exploited after the fact.

There is nothing more annoying than someone posting a pick, following it, losing, and then hearing about how the original poster won because he bet something other than what he posted. Picks IMO should meet the following criteria:

- they should include a specific pointspread at a specific price
- they should actually be attainable for anyone at the time the pick is made...this means you can't use BoDog's or Bowman's square-only lines, nor can you use lines from a shop that boots winners.
- they should be made at least 10 minutes before game time to give people a chance to actually follow it

I would like to hear arguments why any pick not satisfying the above criteria has any merit or purpose at all.

good post DP, i especially like the ones who will post a line, then say "I got it from my local", and its like .20 cents off in bases....You saying you are here to try and help others, how are you helping others, when they can't possibly get a line like you got? You are trying to help yourself not look so bad if it loses, is what you are doing......and posting a game right as it goes off, whats the point "if you are only trying to help others?", makes no sense to me either....

If you are here to share info, thats great, but the benefit comes from sharing it BEFORE the game starts...

Unfortunately, it's not the American way. This was supposed to be the era of "accountability" in America, remember?

Identity you missed the point...again. its not about personal responsability, its about a respected poster coming in and saying, "Lakers will win by 17." So sure that he doesn't even post a line. Lakes fail to cover by a half and he sheepesly says, "Oh even though I said it was going to be a blowout, I bought it down to 6.5 cause, umhh aaah 7 is a key number and I always 20 cents worth of points when I believe its going to be a blowout." IF YOU POST THAT IS GOING TO BE A BLOWOUT. DON'T COME BACK AND TOTALLY CONTRADICT YOURSELF BY SAYING YOU BOUGHT POINTS. YOU CAN'T HAVE IT BOTH WAYS. But then again what do you espect from a gambler. Who tell taller tales gamblers, fishermen or politicians. Hint: I'll lay you odds.

Totally agreed with Darryl and Falco.

First of all if you guaranteed the Lakers to cover and knowing the line mostly everywhere was -7.5 then you have to stand by your statement.

Secondly after they don't cover you come back and make noise that you won because you bought down shows little class. If anything if you wanted some creditibility you should have said nothing and you would have still maintain some respect from other cappers in the forum especially since you already guaranteed a winner earlier and it came through
