(Hope you dont mmind Fish, thought I would start this thread).

Calgary is available for as much as +190 at Intertops...

Tampa as cheap as -195 at Pinny....

B365 has total set at 5 under -140

any book's out there offering better value than the one's posted above?

The Bolts had better get an early lead or the pressure will be immense.

With there talent they should be able to strike in the first 10 minutes and cruise to victory. I'll say 3-1 Bolts.

Like the new logo SS.

Darryl Sutter has the boys playing really well. Game 1 went as I expected with his work ethic of continuous forechecking. They will have to keep this up and keep Tampa off its game which means avoiding penalties.

I feel less sure about game 2 since Tampa will be fighting to equalise and with Calgary currently having home ice "advantage" they might have a psychological lessening of their drive.

Tradesports has both teams for sale at -104 for the series.

For game 1 I laid Tampa at 2.00 giving me a 60 minute win on Calgary and the draw. This same bet is now 2.1 to 2.17. So Tampa has moved out from game 1 to game 2 which I think is contrary to most everywhere which has them as a bigger favourite for game 2, so I don't fancy this play again.

Several places to play the game live, which allows one to see the first 10 minutes (provided there is no score) and decide whether Calgary has come to play again. I'm leaning toward waiting on this game.

Keep in mind that Calgary has been playing much better hockey on the road throughout the playoffs, and has struggled at home.

A TB win, for all practical purposes, equates to stealing back the home ice. Not that it's particularly meaningful in hockey.

Please explain this reasoning, when after this game there are 3 games in Calgary and 2 remaining in Tampa.

Well,
Keep in mind that Calgary has been playing much better hockey on the road throughout the playoffs, and has struggled at home.

More accurately - Calgary is an amazing 8-2 on the ROAD in this years playoffs, but a mediocare 5-6 at home.

If Tampa splits at home with Calgary then they'll have done well.

I was using "home ice" symbolically. Home ice has virtually no impact in the NHL (maybe a tiny bit regarding line changes), but most people do not realize this because in the other sport major sports it has a tremendous advantage. Anyhow, my real point was that IF Tampa wins tomorrow then they are in good shape - this isn't anything close to the mountain you face if you drop a home game #1 in the NBA.

The things that matter more in hockey are rink size and ice conditions.

I hate to say it, but Calgary at +180 is definetly worth a shot here.

I give the Lightning a very very very very small edge in this game.........but -205 is ridiculous.

I POUNDED HEAVY ON CALGARY FLAMES +178 @ PINNACLE

AND ADDED MORE ON CALGARY FLAMES -101 TO WIN SERIES

(hopefully I added this correct play, since if Flames go up 2-0, it will look 'good' going back to Calgary....along with my limit of Iginla and Kipprasuf (hedge) to win Conn smythe)

I am taking the FLAMES at +172 for 90% of the PROFIT I made on them in game one.

Big Bolts fan here as you know, but this is just to juicy to pass up.

Well, considering the OFFICIAL game one thread received 438 views and 35 replies in less than a 28 hour time frame, my answer to your question would be yes.

For those of you who like Tampa Bay tonite but cannot stomach laying that much vig there are a few other options I have seen which may in fact be Profitable, personally I think Tampa is gonna win the game so I may look at some of these options.

Tampa Bay -.5 -107 (60 minutes only)(5 Dimes)

Tampa Scores First -140 (SportBet)

Tampa over 30 Shots -115 (Sportbet)

Just Played TB (-1.85) pinny......

very heavy trend here favors Tampa Bay. and quite frankly i find TB still the better team. Quite natural for them to be a little flat in game 1.. Should be no problem to rev it back up in game 2.. Dont like to lay this kind of juice but im doing it tonight..... Go Bolts..

TB is a team that ive had a real good feel for in the playoffs,, i went 4-0 on them in the philly series (and i believe Oldman Ted could attest for that) but thats beside the point..

I like TB in games 2 and 3, i passed game 1 as it was not a good situation for TB.. Tonight is a must win, look no further than the Twolves in game 2 versus the lakers.. surely we dont forget that easily.. I believe TB wins this series in 6 or 7 games and probably 7.. as we get a classic series just before the big break for hockey..
