Wouldnt have happened if Reggie would have just dunked it. The Reggie magic is gone.

Thats what I was thinking Buff...Reggie can still slam it I would think...

He had the Magic going tonight too....He even had the flop going with those phantom foul calls he`s known to get.

He almost looked tentative as if to say "just don`t blow this layup and we`re all tied up"....
Seriously I doubt he thought anyone was even close to him because normally Reggie would atleast get to the line...Reggie can draw a foul from a statue while walking in the park, he has an uncanny ability to look as if he was just creamed, and always throwing his arms skyward... Somewhere Bill Rafferty is saying "just send it in big fella"????

Poor shooting finally caught up to the Indiana Pacers. The Pacers won two straight playoff games while shooting less than 34 percent, but couldn't do it a third time. Indiana shot just 27.5 percent tonight. The Pacers shot 32 percent in Game 6 of their second round series when they eliminated the Miami Heat, then were almost as bad in their Game 1 win over the Pistons on Saturday. Indiana was never worse in Game 2 than in the fourth quarter. The Pacers shot just 3-for-22 and went the final 3:31 without a field goal as the Pistons made good on Rasheed Wallace's guarantee that Detroit would win the game. The Pistons blocked 19 shots and refused to let Jermaine O'Neal catch the ball in the low post in the second half. Rasheed Wallace led the way with five blocks and Tayshaun Prince had four, none bigger than one on Reggie Miller late in the game.

1) Great play by Prince, great hustle.
2) Doesn't it seem as though the 4-year college guys (Battier, Prince) are more likely to make the hustle plays?
3) As I said, great hustle by Prince. But Reggie botched the play. FYI, Reggie said he saw Prince coming down the court. There are times when dunking is the smart/fundamental play, and this was one of those times. If Reggie attempts to dunk, I don't think Prince can make a play on the ball without fouling Reggie.

Also, when you're shooting a layup with defenders trailing, you're taught to jump early and extend out-and-up to the basket. Not only do you give the defender less time to catch you, but your body serves as a shield between the ball and the defender.

Instead (as you can see in the pic), Reggie waits until he is UNDER the basket! Then he floats up a volleyball that Prince smacks into the stands.
