I saw where he`s projected as the #3 pick lol...after Okafor and a high schooler (name escapes me) then its Deng..

I can`t believe he would be considered the #3 player for his years NBA draft...he will be picking splinters for a few years, I assume his family may have an influence on his decision....Coming out early and not being anywhere near ready , the guy hadenormous collegiate potential IMO, but he is very raw....he also struggled in the big games, his footwork asn`t good ,traveled etc...reminded me of a collegiate version of Glenn Robinson with the ball under pressure bumbling it and traveling..

I'm sick of the Bulls drafting Dukies and high schoolers. I do think Deng is worthy of the number 2-3 pick though.

I don`t doubt his ability, it just looks odd him being projected that high! What does that say about the college game? Think back 20 years when guys like Ralph Sampson and Patrick Ewing roamed the NCAA like dinosaurs lol...these guys were almost automatic Superstars...Deng doesn`t come close to that calibur at this point...

BTW , Jameer Nelson projected #12...

I just hope the Magic can figure out what to do with that 1st pick. They need a big man desperately, even if he cant score, just someone to rebound and block shots. Of course, they had that in Ben Wallace before they "gave" him away in exchange to Grant Hill........

Deng has super skills and great fundamentals. He is worthy of a #3 and next year he'd be #1. He'll be hard to guard in the pros.

The Wizards had Ben Wallace too, another Wizards blunder...

Okafor should be a very solid pro IMO...He may be a little undersized though. Anyone have his ht wt stats?

Don`t get me wrong I love Deng as a freshman, but he is still a wild card...I would like to see these young guys play a couple years is all...Deng has all the tools as you said J.D.

Think about it this way - in 83 the top 3 picks were Hakeem, sam Bowie and Michael Jordan. While Bowie had medical problems that curtailed his pro career, he was a stud in college. I think Barkley was 5 in that draft.

None of these 3 guys from this draft will hold a candle, imo.
