Why are there no Japanese books ?

When in Vegas, I see many Japanese gamblers, they seem to love to gamble !

They could probably back the mother of all books, certainly many rich people hail from Japan.

Do they have casinos in Japan ?

I'm thinking their laws must be as backward as the USA. They must have illegal bookies.

Is it similar to US, in this regard ?

No racial bigotry is intended.

Gambling laws in Japan are more strict than the US. Pretty much what you can find are Horses, bicycle races, and pachinko on the legal side of things.
There's plenty of illegal bookies that take action on Sumo and baseball (American and Japanese) but not nearly as much as in the US.
