I believe that Michael Schumaker can set an F1 record with his 6 consecutive win to start an F1 season. That is pretty impressive.

its impressive, but this sport has been completely lopsided for the last 5 years. there hasnt been a good rival since senna, prost and nigel mansell were racing. mansell was the man! he won the championship in the early 90's then switched to indy cars and won that championship also. . .he raced for the williams team who was the sole reason "re-active suspension" was banned. it proved to be a huge technological advatage only 2 of the teams could afford. if you have to crank your wheel over all the way he cranks his maybe only half as much for the same corner.. . also, when the car went through a corner it never leaned like a car with conventional suspension. it always stayed level since the computer is constantly reading everything and pumping a percise ammount of volume into each shock absorber. truly awesome s**t !

i would say what schu is about to do is truly amazing given the grand history of the sport, but the disparity between the technology the teams possess is just too much. the sport is kind of dry now.

there is no car faster than a top notch F1. . .fact

They are drooling to get an American driver there. They want Gordon. I have a feeling we may see Tony Stewart take a shot, but just a guess. He can drive anything.

MONACO - Jarno Trulli ended his long wait for Formula One success in Monte Carlo yesterday and silenced the doom-*****rs who feared Ferrari's Michael Schumacher might win everything this year.

"It's always interesting to see different people on top," the Renault driver said after winning at the 117th attempt.

"I wish for myself and for Formula One that we have different winners in the future because otherwise it can be a little bit boring," the 29-year-old Italian added.

"Today we got a different winner and I hope we can stop the Ferrari domination a little bit.

"Ferrari are still the best team, with the best car and the best driver, and they're the men to beat. But everyone else is working very hard and there is no reason why we cannot win."

Schumacher, the six-times world champion who had hoped his start to the season would extend to a record six wins, crashed out with 30 laps remaining after a collision with Colombian Juan Pablo Montoya in the tunnel.

It was Ferrari's first defeat since Trulli's Spanish team-mate Fernando Alonso won in Hungary last August, an eight-race run of domination.

Trulli did everything right on the unforgiving street circuit, following up his career-first pole position with a commanding victory.

Briton Jenson Button was second, just 0.4 of a second behind Trulli, after throwing his BAR around the city streets in a last-gasp attempt to beat his former team-mate.

"There was the risk of hitting a guardrail, but I wanted to win so much," Button said.

Brazilian Rubens Barrichello was third for Ferrari.

The Idea to have an American in F1 is to bring the F1 sport to the American MotorSport Culture. We are tormented by NASCAR (which I hate)and Indy.

The idea of having an american in F1 is to diversify the sport. Since it's safe to say F1 is completly European. It would be fun to watch and Oval-boy match up with the big guns in driving, I wonder the same thing about WRC. When will we see an American there?

Regarding the comment that there is no other car Faster than a F1....That is soooooo True. And the Handling, perfect!!!!

Now, where is the fun in F1 with Mike on the top?

The other positions. As we saw, the last 22 laps at Monaco was a Senna/Prost (or Mansell, I don't recall) finish. Beautiful! That shows that there is some FIERCE competition going around at the back from 1st.

I luv F1!

Hmmm

Much is said about Racing, but that's what happens when the only Racing you see is NASCAR or INDY, just a nice Oval and a bunch of dudes going in circles. On the other hand F1 and WRC have the excitment of a real competition, and not 44 guys going in circles crashing in every turn.

Kind of the way I look at baseball, but I respect those who enjoy the game.
