Reality TV Meets Casino Operation World - New Show "The Casino"

Mark Burnett, the reality show guru behind Survivor and The Apprentice has announced the airing dates for his brand news show The Casino.

The new show takes its cameras inside the Las Vegas gambling industry, with the focus on America's youngest casino owners Timothy Poster and Thomas Breitling as they learn the ropes as casino operators. Poster and Breitling, who made their fortunes from founding Travelscape.com and later selling it to Expedia.com, four years ago.

Casino will cover the daily lives of the 34-year-old self made millionaires as they run their operations, under the spotlight of hundreds of cameras and millions of TV viewers in the gambling capital of the world: Las Vegas.

‘You're absolutely going to have the adrenaline rush of entering the casino for the first time. Being the new owners you'll see who comes in and you'll see real-life casino action with millions of dollars changing hands. If you look at some of the other (reality) shows, sometimes it's hard to relate to the people, he said. But everyone can relate to a wager or casino action ... and we’re right there to witness it,’ claims Breitling, the co-star of the new reality TV show.

The Casino is scheduled to premiere on June 14 on the Fox Network.

Is this the one that was largely filmed at the Golden Nugget as it's ownership was tranfered recently?

The Casino provides an extraordinary 24/7, behind-the-scenes look at the real-life dramas unfolding at the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas as its new owners, Tim Poster and Tom Breitling, take over the business and attempt to bring back the glory of the hotel's "Rat Pack" heyday. The series will go beyond the challenges facing Poster and Breitling to explore the personal dramas unfolding among guests and some of the 3,000 employees inside this world – from cocktail waitresses, to pit bosses, to security, management and entertainers. Wil, with Poster and Breitling putting Nick B charge of their SportsBook, has it made a move to being a "player" on the LV scene?

Classiest place downtown..still looks like a Wynn property.

I saw part of the premiere during upfront week here in NY. Not bad, but its still dressed up in typical FOX fashion. Simply new programming for the summer targeting the young elusive male demographic.

Don't know Nick B. personally, but from all I have heard he is a real bookmaker. I gotta believe he can only give the Nugget an edge over 99 percent of the "corporate" books taking bets.

Neither do I, he seems to really enjoy the challenge of battling the industry's best if allowed the free hand to challenge them by higher-ups.

I think the show should do well.

I WAS THERE IN FEB. WHEN THEY WERE STILL FILIMING, SHOULD BE A GOOD WATCH IF NOTHING ELSE. IT IS ALL FILMED AT THE HOTEL, THEY HAD A PIT THAT WAS ALL SET UP FOR FILIMING AND THEY HAD PEOPLE SIGN WAIVERS IF THEY USED THAT AREA SINCE THEY WERE BEING FILEMD.......G.
