I hit a nice wager at a place in Vegas and send for mail pay (registered obviously). It was signed for on the 10th. I call today to see what the hell is going on and they told me it takes 3 to 4 weeks to process. WHat the ****? I can collect in 5 minutes in Vegas and they want to sit on my money for a month? Is this the normal process in Vegas, b/c that's complete nonsense.

that is a bit long I would call them back and ask to speak to a supervisor we use to get them out in 2-3 days

Good chance it will not take that long.

Is it ok if I email you and find out what book it is?

I may be able to speed the process up.

I have sent in several tickets over the years and it varied greatly. I got one back in 1 week(to Eastern US) and one that took 6 weeks. Really no excuse for more than 10 days all told but 3/4 weeks isn't unusual.
Glad I know some people I trust out there and go out there myself more frequently so I by-pass the system altogether now. Of course, best way is just play with reputable place off-shore which is what I do now also.
Even if they process fast, I just abhor added vig(fee) on general principle!

I send winning tickets to Harrah's in Vegas and have a check in my hands in less than 7 days everytime!
