Roger Clemons has a one hitter going through 6 innings today against the Mets in Houston. Rocket has struck out 9, walked 1, and gave up a base hit to opposing pitcher Matt Ginter (of all people). Astros lead 2-0 batting in the bottom of the 6th. Clemons is looking to go to 8-0 on the year.

He is finished for the day - left leading after 7 innings 2-0 - allowed 2 hits, 1 walk and struckout 10 throwing 102 pitches. Up to the Astros pen now.

Had bases loaded no outs bottom of eighth and didn't score. Knew that was a bad omen. Oh well. Next case.

Clemons can't be happy, Octavio Dotel gives up 2 run homer to Mike Piazza in the top of the ninth to blow the save. 2-2 in the 9th.

IF I am not mistaken, I believe this is Dotel's second straight blown save opportunity.

I have the METS + 235, so I am happy, for now.

Not sure how often it happens percentage wise but you need a homer with men on in a tie game to win. Even a ground rule double with the bases loaded will only yield one run. Sorry to say but you are a good sized dog to win the game by 2 or more runs. Although not impossible.

Tough break.

Only once did I make out on a home runline.

Texas blew a one run lead in the 9th and Juan Gonzales hit a 2 run home in extra innings to cover my -1.5. Lucky day.

Hopefully you guys will catch a break.

What a huge break I caught in the top of the 9th to tie the game ...

Then, the NY Mets go on to win the game ...

Tough break for Clemons. He deserved to win.
