Hey why does intertops have over 6,500 webpages indexed on google that try to steal traffic from other books?

WARNING: IF YOU CLICK ON THE LINKS YOUR BACK BUTTON WON’T WORK

example of millennium sportsbook getting ripped off:

http://www.rouletteforfree.biz/Wager_cfl_1995/Bet_on_1997_topps_football_cards/fast_paying_online_sportsbooks_Sportsbooks.html

5dimes sportsbook getting ripped off:

http://www.rouletteforfree.biz/Superbowl_former_nebraska_football_players/wagering_baseball_online_Sportsbook/Bet_on_Pochman_Owen_K_New_York_Giants.html

Are there any watchdog sites that could contact Intertops and ask them the reason behind this?

I know that they have been advertising here (and SBR and MW) a long time so I would hate to ask anyone here (or there) to risk loosing that ad revenue.

Any ideas?

Dang! Thats a lot of pages! But how are they stealing traffic? Are surfers going somewhere that they are not thinking they are going to?

yep,

when searching: the search title appears as "Betting at Millennium Sportsbook" and you click on it and are sent to Intertops and can't leave that is a bit deceptive.

Buddy,
Help me out here, I'm pretty green on SE's (hate to admit).

I do understand that they registered ROULETTEFORFREE.BIZ and redirected it to Intertops. Nothing foul about that, right?

When I type in "Betting at Millennium Sportsbook" into google I dont see either a redirect or betMill either for that matter.

I hate feeling like a dumb doorknob but I still do not understand. I can't figure out how they are hijacking traffic.

just spoke to my man at google.

everything is under control. something about an obvious violation of terms and conditions and having multible url's redirecting...

don't really understand it myself... from the sounds of things google is well aware of the problem.

OK. Mostly this is unethical when books are feeding off other books domains or variations of them like www.pinnaclepoker.com goes to worldwager or one of their joints. But when a book redirects a generic term like rouletteforfree.com I dont see anything wrong with that. It doesn't make any sense to me but it does not seem unethical. In this case I would at least expect you could go into the Intertops casino and play for free. If so, the surfer is not deceived I guess.

A lot of books do this with SBG leading the pack. WagerStreet has a Nasa knockoff called BetallSports and Bet365 uses jazzsportsbook.com to redirect traffic. Sports Interaction is big into the popup business which to me is just as irritating. Some consider this shrew marketing and others unethical behavior.

Good Luck to All
