I took Water Cannon 70-1 elsewhere. Also took Eddington 10-1. Just do not like chalk after slopfest derby. Anything can and has happened in the shortest race. That bad jump out of gate, boxed in stretch, not enough distance to make up for bad breaks. Tight turns make wide horses run a lot more ground. IMO, toughest race out of the 3. Best wishes...OF
If you like Smarty Jones then the +145 is better than what you will get if he wins today. I don't think he will be more than 6/5 (+120) at best. There is so much publicity with regards to SJ that I would think 1/1 (EV) should be the price loading into the gate.

Borrego now up to 22-1 at Pinny, probably go higher. Also typical squares betting chalk 5 races early, so they do not have to fight long lines before post. Early 1-5 normally a kiss of death. Minimum, squarely square. You could always lay the -1.50 back he won't win. This Smarty is not the superhorse the media has portrayed, or the public has bought. Early money is almost always wrong. And since he won the derby, you have all of the squares that did not have him, on him now, and other followers. I think 5/2 is where he should be...OF
