He's just been bumped to the #1 contender ranking according to the WBC, but there are still reports of him sustaining a blot clot on the brain.

His father sounds like a politician regarding the matter and occasionally mentions that they'd like to fight Tyson.

Nobody knows what to make of it ... so I guess this is hypothetical.

Assuming the rumors about the PCS and blot clot are true.
If you were Joe Mesi would you

A. Cash in on your possibly once in a lifetime big payday, even though you are taking a huge risk with your health.

B. Tell papa Mesi to STFU and await medical clearance before you even think about putting a pair of gloves on to spar.

C. Walk away undefeated, and more importantly healthy.

Apparently comprehension isn't your forte.

It's too bad, Mesi's a class act - I hope this doesn't cause permanent damage and/or early retirement.

Mesi is a nice guy, but a horrible fighter. He's far from a top ten guy, on a worldwide basis. He will probably lose his next fight if he faces any real heavyweight in the rankings.

He was smart to fight a brain damaged Jirov, but barely survived. Jirov is known for throwing 100 or more punches a round. He was throwing 11 and 12 in the final 5 rounds. And he still beat Mesi to a pulp.

If I was mesi, I would take the big fight, Try to avoid injury, kiss my manager and leave the sport having pulled off the biggest scam since Meldrick Taylor lost to Chavez.

Apparently figuring things out isn't your forte. Obviously if I do not like him and I want him to fight the answer for what he should do is C. Dolt

Let me get this straight. I can't figure things out and strike you as a dolt because you were uncapable of comprehending a simple post?

Ok, if it makes you feel better I'll appologize - I'm sorry you're an idiot.

Happy?

Chuck,
Only the WBC has him #1.
I think he's as low as #7 in one of the other major rankings.

Anyways, yeah, I agree Mesi isn't great - it's more a byproduct of the HW's being such a weak division right now.

Roy Jones could probably jump up two divisions and whoop all the contenders.
