I am a Red Sox fan and they do have a shot but I liked their chances better last year. Maybe when Nomar & Trot get back things will change but they're not winning convincingly to me.

I like the Angels so far in the AL. Can't ever count out the Yankees.

NL? Marlins, Cubs?

How 'bout Clemens? Amazing.

I predicted David Ortiz to finish in the top 5 in HR's in the AL. I think he's got a shot...

Anyone see Inge play alot in Detroit? How does he look?

Off the first 6 weeks it looks like Like Astros, Dodgers, Cubs, Marlins, and Padres have decent shots at playoffs in the NL. Angels, Yanks, Red Sox, and Twins have best shot in AL. Natrually since it is so early any number of these teams could drop put of competition to be replaced by others. Bottom line, to answer your question - NO IDEA.

I hear ya Wil, I know it's early, just like t hear what people are thinking now...

RPM, I am nervous about this season. It's obvious to me most of the guys on the club don;t like Nomar, but we need his bat. Trot's bat too. I'm not big on Bill Mueller and think we MAY have to do something there before the season is over...

The Astros finally make it to the series and Win! Clemens wins another Cy Young as he will end up 23-4...Clemens announces after the season he will retire AGAIN only to be talked back out of retirement, this time to team with his idol 50+ year old Nolan Ryan to bolster the Rangers staff, the Rangers finally win in `05... Clemens again announces he will retire and this time he....

Astros have a bunch of players that don't know how to hit in Postseason. They'll never get to the series with this bunch. Marlins and Angels for my money

Phillies getting back into form a bit of late, but need better table setting OBP by 2 leadoff guys, plus keep Wolf, Milton, and Padilla healthy & strong by fall.

Stros are very dangerous with their staff as long as the Killer B's hit in the clutch, and Everett keeps maturing into star..however shouldn't have let Wagner walk.

As of now, wide open field of eight?

Just kidding, their annual 20-game losing streak should be coming up shortly.

Pitching wins baseball, good pitching beats good hitting. The Astros have EXCELLENT pitching and enough bats to do major damage this year. There is no ? in my mind that in the NL it will be either- Marlins,Cubs,Astros

In the AL I like NYY,R-sox

W-SERIES= NYY vs ASTROS

WINNER=ASTROS

If Wood, Prior, Zambrano are healthy by the AS Break and beyond then they will collect the trophy on behalf of the CHICAGO CUBS.

I agree with Cubs and marlins could win in NL but not the Astros. Killer B's have collectively had zero big hits in any big games. Also wouldn't be surprised to see Clemons and Pettite break down later in season.

I had to bet Marlins at 70:1, after they won for me last year at 150:1. In that division Philly is the only other team that can win, with an outside chance for Atlanta, certainly not Mets, or Montreal. Therefore a good shot of making play-offs. I saw them as low as +700 recently. I wish I bet more

70/1 what a great bet. I thought my 50/1 bet was pretty good, I also have them at +750 for Division and Philly +150. I cashed a 80/1 on the Marlins last year
