Will the US stop Sportsbooks from advertising on sites like Fox Sports?

Do you feel that that the US will try and stop Sportsbooks from displaying their lines to such sites. And if so, wouldn't they have to stop the publishing of "odds" and "spreads" that are distributed in thousands of newspapers throughout the US every week?

I don't know if they (the US Government) will try, but I am confident that if they did, they would be on very thin legal ground.

The government cannot supress speech legally.

Unless they claim it facillitates the movement of large sums of money and money laundering by the terrorists.

Anything is possible anymore. Doesn't have to be a law against it or anything, just a simple threat will do. I used to think laws and legal precedent mattered, but I see that as long as Ashcroft is in the DOJ and Bush is on his mission from God we are just subjects for government discretion. Sometimes I think the application of law for offshore gambling on any given day is decided based on how John Ashcroft feels that morning after scratching his butt.
