Have you ever heard someone say they won't bet their favorite team even if they like it because it will jinx it. I understand what they are saying, but really how stupid is that?

Yes!

Ever been winning at a blackjack table and your buddy comes over to the table and hits you with "wow at least someone is winning" ?

Or you ever have a lead in a game and someone says "Wow I shouldve bet them also" or "hey how much did you put on them?" ?

Or how many times have you ever written a W in your notebook before the game is over? Once is my guess, because you probably lost that game.
