QUESTION: SHRINK/MODS/RX REGARDING PLAYER PROTECTION

Let me preface this by saying that I am not trying to sling mud or start a problem.

I am writing to find out why the Rx is the only watchdog/forum/community left which doesnt have a protection mechanism in place for its members. OGD is ensuring funds via an escrow, MW is securing funds for active forum members(as a matter of fact the level of protection has escalated from $500 to $1000 in the past month), and SGA has a program in place whereby players are protected by a pool of books in the event one member becomes insolvent.

The most disheartening part is that that there is some redundancy between Rx advertisers and those at the other sites: royal, cascade, betmill...

Should I continue?

So I ask, why is it these other sites have made a concerted effort in securing players' funds while the Rx has not? This is a genuine question and not an attempt to stir trouble.

Let me add that I am aware how much General has done for certain players. I certainly commend his efforts but this should not eclipse the fact that there is no formal layer of protection in place from Rx.

The Rx is in a class by itself! No need to offer members any insurance this is a sports forum not a guarantee of your funds site! These other sites are trying to get members by offering guarantees! Wait till a few go under and lets see what happens! RX rocks! Mods here are the best !!

Player protection, what a concept. From my experience this offshores generally protect the industry by helping or buying those troubled books. And I feel this forum is a great watchdog but as far as protection, how would it work? Always open to new ideas, tell me more please. Best Wishes...OF

Sounds good to me. Might only protect one frog leg, but better than nothing. Very surprised Royal, who was struggling to pay me timely is involved. I like the automatic escalation on late payments. Never had a book worth anything go el foldo on me. If I had a vote, I would vote YES. Best Wishes...OF

Judge,
Certainly. I wasnt affected by the panam debacle but I know some OGD guys were able to recover some of their $$.

OF,
For the most part, these programs are designed to help smaller, recreational players. A condom with a hole in it is better than no condom at all.
