I`m calling it early, at 4-0 the Rocketman will start the Allstar Game in his home state at MinuteMaid Park, and at this rate he might end up collecting his 7th Cy Young Award!!!!!!!

I can hear Elton John`s 'Rocket Man' blaring as Clemens warms up to face the American League ....

Lol, I bet George is steaming over this...Steinbrenner may tell Clemens to go into the Hall with a Red Sox cap (which he should do anyway) afterall!!

................

"I think its gonna be a long long time"

.................Rocketman

The thing that amazes me , his arm is still just about as good as ever, its his legs that usually hinder his effectiveness...

Clemens 4 wins

Mussina 4 losses

Clemens has driven in 3 runs while batting

Bernie Williams doesn`t have that many!

Clemens is batting a robust .333

No Yankee is batting higher than Roger!!

Clemens has given up just 6 earned runs in his 4 starts, he very realistically could win the Cy...he didn`t come back for a fairwell tour!

I will GUARANTEE right now that Clemens will not win the Cy Young. 0 chance.

And if the Road Warrior says it, it must be true..

Faced him once already on apr 7...2ks and 1bb.

CLEMENS BY NUMBERS
Strikeouts for the Rocket on Saturday, putting his career total at 4,125, within 11 of tying Hall of Famer Steve Carlton for second on the all-time list. Hall of Famer Nolan Ryan holds the record with 5,714.

Age of Clemens and Colorado's Jeff Fassero on Saturday, marking the first time two pitchers at least 41 years old started against each other in a major-league game since Aug. 24, 1987, when Don Sutton, 42, of the Angels faced Tommy John, 44, of the Yankees.

Career victories for Clemens, tying him with Hall of Famer Gaylord Perry for 15th on the all-time victory list.

Remember put this in persective, Rocket has been dealing since way back when Doc Gooden was a stud...that seems like well nearly 20 years ago (which it was!)

OBTW- he`s on another 9 game winning streak.

He may end up starting game 1 of the NLDS!

I`d love to see Boston or NY vs Houston in the WS! How cool would that be?

No one is even close to his starting numbers. I think Roger Clemens will win the NL Cy Young award. I wonder what yankee owner is thinking of Clemens success so far. I'm sure it must be pissing him off with the way his team is going and they no longer have Clemens & pettite.

#1 in heart??? Give me a break. This guy has asked out of postseason games (86)... got shalacked in game 7 versus Boston last year... and dodged starts versus the Mets at Shea after throwing at Piazza's head. F Clemens.
