Clemens moved into second place on the career strikeouts list behind fellow Houston-area native Nolan Ryan, and became first six-game winner in the major leagues, leading the Astros over the Pittsburgh Pirates 6-2 on Wednesday night.

Clemens struck out Raul Mondesi swinging in the fifth inning to pass Hall of Fame left-hander Steve Carlton with No. 4,137.

He finished the night with nine strikeouts to run his career total to 4,140

I wonder if a book will post a line on when he will lose his next game..He gets some great run support

A TRUE WINNER and you'll never hear him cry that he's not happy with his contract. *Pedro

He owes it all to Dan Duquette...had he not said Clemens wasin the twilight of his career, Clemens would have been out of the game along time ago. That comment pushed Clemens to commit to working out again and pushing himself to pitch great again.
