Do books adjust their line according to who the home plate umpire is?

In other words, do the books post lower "total" lines when guys like J. Hirshbeck are behind the plate? And raise the line when a known "over" umpire is making the calls?

Do they NOT adjust for them, hoping the uninformed squares may make the wrong bet?

What do you guys think?

Lines in baseball are set according to the pitchers. Key players injured are also important and weather conditions talking about totals. Some bookmakers may tell you they move the numbers according to the umpires, haven't seen that yet.

First time I noticed this thread. In all honesty I doubt that books adjust lines because of who is umpiring. For one thing for the first game of a series there is really no way of knowing who will be behind the plate until close to game time. With games that have notorious over or under umps known well before hand (2nd or 3rd game of a series etc.) the line will adjust itself when the original number is offered to the "sharps" who get to bet into to a line before it goes public.
