Detroit 78 New Jersey 56???? What the hell kinc of score is that? A disgrace to the game plain and simple, and we want high school kids to keep on coming into this league. Hell the ones coming into the Association cant make a 19 footer to save their lives. I think this League is a joke that is only getting worse. I long for the days of an average game being 100-95. Disgraceful.

Any other thoughts on this?

Detroit's D is exciting. Its not like the Nets are a low scoring team and no one can score. The Pistons take high % shots. Every man knows his role.

7 game series: Kings vs Pistons, is what the NBA needs. IMO

The Pistons shutting down Sac while hitting the forgotten mid-range J would be impressive.

It wasn't the D that was exciting. NJ was missing open jumpshots all night long. Detroit let them shoot them and NJ missed all night long. It was pathetic. The free throw defense was really good tonight too.

Overall, Detroit has fans rooting for them to hold the opposing team below 75. Play is contageous. That’s just NBA ball.

It blows. Not only did NJ embarass themselves. Its telling that BillDozer is singing the praises of Detroit for being able to hit an open jumper.

The NBA has been a joke for sometime. Playoffs do add a little excitement I think, but still like hell to watch a whole game for me.

My personal take is that the NBA is rough for the fans. It’s become a Sportscenter $ maker and not much else. I do enjoy watching players take 20 shots coming off triple screens for a non 3-pointer more than I do a Dallas vs. Kings 3-Ball shooting contest with 120 FGAs each.

West coast hoops have a lot of players that have better production than the team can put out as a whole.
A good example is the Lakers last game of the season. Kobe took a ton of bad shots to blow the game and OT. He miraculously hit two 3s to redeem himself and win the game 1 on 5. That is not my idea of excitement. To each his own.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Personally I get little if nothing from watching unless I have something riding on it.
this is where the NBA has been for some time. I think the Pistons won it all with D, that started the Bulls, the Knicks and the Rockets. Talk about low scoring physical teams. Pistons are taking away everything except for mid range jumpers. Nets have no jump shooters. Just a bad matchup, and condusive to a blowout. You saw the Pistons score a lot last series against nothing Buck defense. You will not see much of that if ever again. Pacers will also be very low scoring. Team defense in the playoffs wins games. Kings are next to exit, and Lakers, as teams without team defense get eliminated. Spurs best D, lowest opp fg% translates to title. Best Wishes...OF
