Not looking for an SUV gasaholic...don`t need a whole lot of room either, I`m thinking about the NissanZX, any thoughts on this or another good value?

Sports car prices are reasonable , relative to the SUV fad...

Take these gas guzzling SUV`s and stay out of the fast lane!

If you go for the Monte, get the Dale Earnhart Jr. edition. Already out of production and getting snapped up by collectors. Also looks pretty sharp, sorry no photo. Best Wishes...OF

Almost bought it a couple weeks ago here in Tampa on a spur of the moment purchase.

It has the supercharged 240 hp engine which is nice.

if a sportscar in the 30k range is what you want, go with a mustang. you can get a very nice gt convertible for around that price.

if gas economy is what you want, buy some type of hybrid. ford makes an escape (small suv) hybrid that is supposed to be pretty nice i think. you also get a very nice tax savings if you go with hybrid...

BMW 3-series
If you take care of it will last you 20 years. Holding a lot of its value as you go.
I bought one new in 1995 and only have 90K on it. Been paid for for 6 years and has permitted me to save and gamble as I chose.

Lexus ES330: Low 30's

Always rated at or near the top of consumer reports, holds it's value, and is machined with tolerances very fine by comparison to other cars. Will last a long, long time if properly maintained. Can purchase a factory warranted pre-owned car with approximately 15K for significant savings due to depreciation and the car is still just barely broken in. I own two, both 1994, the LS400 and the ES300 and they still run like new. Wouldn't sell or trade them for any other vehicle.

some of the new VW's are really nice. The "Toureg" (not sure about spelling) looks sharp.

Before my IRS dealings I had about every great car made. Believe I wish i could do it all over because GM & Ford sell a ton of pickups for a reason.

You want looks? Buy a gym pass, tank top and a bicycle. Afterall, once you drive her to your house she won't be looking under your hood (The car's hood).

Best value by far (compared with Lexus IS300, Maxima, BMW 325i, etc) in the small sedan luxury category is the Audi A4. Awesome car with lots included standard. Audis got a bad rap with repair issues in previous years but the last couple of years have been much improved and their service plan is on par with the Toyota/Lexus plans.
