Normally his openers are sharp. Too much chalk money to throw out low fave. Like I say, put a high enough number to get some dog action. This is against a public team. Not enough early action to stop this move. And I just can't imagine it is squares yet. This is not Lakers hedge, I am surprised, pleasantly...OF

I guess Spiro's wanted some early money coming in on the spurs figuring public may come in later backing the lakers. # seems to have no value at the moment.

Dead on, I don't think that number is a joke. LAL is a team that is hard to put away but this will be a hard game for them. They need 3 players to play well and on that team that is asking a lot. In you defense it should be on the low scoreing side and makes the points look better. I think you can get a 6 out there before they tip.

5.5 will draw two way action....3.5 a little weak, but we all know Spiro's has his opinions.

Moon88 seems closest, gamble that backfired. SPVI, I considered that, but would not help if Spurs won and covered. Would lose twice. Lakers futures exposure makes a bit more sense, Would eat up all of Spur action if Spurs lost, could gain both if Spurs win, no cover. I think it was a slight gamble influenced by heavy Lakers futures. I think. Best Wishes...OF

LOL

I did not even look at the lines and assumed the 3.5 was the right number and that maybe Pinny had some SA futures exposure, seeing as they aren't a big futures house and it wouldn't take much,

see now it is 5-5.5 everywhere, pretty funny, seems a few pts to high to me, but I do not follow NBA that closely, obviously.

Lakers had a hard time with Houston they were in every game till the last couple of minutes.O'neal is not involve in the Laker offense.I predict that San Antonio disposes of the Lakers in five games.

Guys, I'm just not following this thread at all.

Personally, 5 looks a tad low to me based on the way these teams are playing. But that's just an opinion, and could well be wrong.

What is 100% concrete however is that Spiro blew it with his -3.5 opener. I mean BLEW IT. Egregious error. Ground ball right threw the legs. Why?

Because at -4.5 he could have written all the Spurs action he wanted. So to "give away the store" at -3.5 was a big mistake. Even if the line should be pk'em, he still blew it by badley misforecasting the closing line.

I grabbed the -3.5 and told everyone else to do the same. It's a good bet. It has a great chance to win ........

I remember last year the Spurs laid an egg in more than a few games in the playoffs. They wiped out a Memphis team that had never been in the playoffs before. Look for the Lakers to win GM 1.

Spurs have won 15 in a row overall with only 1 of those games by less than 6 points (game 3 in Memphis). Haven't lost a single game in almost 6 weeks. Spurs have also won 15 in a row at home. Really hard not to like the Spurs. I actually think Memphis was a good upstart team that might have had a chance to upset any of the other West teams, but they just met the wrong team in San Antonio. IMO Memphis was better than both Denver and Houston who each won a game. The best team certainly doesn't always win, but if it does this year then the Spurs will be getting rings.

Fezzik wins the thread prize. I knew someone would get it eventually. That is what I was trying to point out. Just shows that these threads take some wild tangents occaisonally. Thank You Fezzik, want a cookie? Best Wishes...OF
