Nice easy 6-0 win tonight behind Curt Schilling. Manager Tito Francona wisely (imo) yanked Schilling after 7 shutout innings, and let the Red Sox pen close the game out. Rookie lefty Lenny DiNardo pitched a perfect 9th. DiNardo could be a nice addition to what is already a very good bullpen, and quite possibly the strength of this Sox squad.

very easy question. You have to go with the percentages here. DEFINITELY the 101-109 wins easily. Mathematically, that is where it should end. Any other guess would be meaningless. They are definitely a team of 100+ wins, and guessing over 110 wins is rather a gamble, seeing it is very hard to do. So definitely 101-109..

Schilling and the pen upgrade are the 2 reasons I grabbed them at 6-1. I thought that was all they needed, another ace to take pressure off of Pedro. A stud closer, and a pen where people know their roles, instead of by committee. Bambino's Curse is removed this year. Yanks getting healthy playing slumping A's. Like to see some of the not named Brown pitchers away from Bronx on a long road trip. Remember that clutch lefty who always used to turnaround the Yanx in the post season? Can't outhit everybody. Best Wishes...OF

dinardo may well be the one to go down in order to bring up kim to start the first game of the doubleheader tomorrow.

the team brought up daubach once ellis burks went on the DL and I didnt think they would put daubuch right back down...

then again it was a good outing for dinardo

Before the season I had em around 97 wins

They`re looking like over 100 though...

Doubtful they reach 110, the Orioles won 108 and 109 back in 69-70 and the Yankees big year and also Seattle, other than that what teams have theatened 110 or more??? Not likely, too many decent teams in the East, no cupcakes ...

Speaking of bullpens, what is up with the Indians pen? RHP David Riske and RHP Rafael Betancourt both struggled today, as the Cleveland bullpen fell to 3-8, with only two saves in seven chances. Riske, has an ERA of 12.27. Today Sandy Alomar Jr. hit a sacrifice fly to cap a five-run rally in the bottom of the ninth inning for the Chicago White Sox leading to a 9-8 win. The White Sox trailed 8-2 after six innings and were still behind 8-4 entering their final at-bat. Manager Eric Wedge is qouted saying he didn't know how the Indians would rectify their bullpen problems. ''We have to reassess everything,'' he said. ''It's been a battle for us all season.'' . Good spot to keep an eye on for over totals and bet-against situations.

Great observation ROBFUNK. I see them between 101-109 if things go their way (no more signifigant injuries, etc)

Fish Head, I understand why you are saying that about Kim, but let's give him one more chance, you just may be suprised at what he gives you in a 5TH STARTER.

Sick, I agree 101-109, again, if all chips fall into place. Ellis Burks is around, they win this thing.

I don't know about Kim getting 5 starts but I wouldn't be opposed to at least 3 starts and then go from there. If he has 3 horrible starts in a row then I don't see any reason to throw him out on the mound for a 4th and 5th start. If he can pitch one good game then try to build on that for a 4th and 5th start. He did have a 3.38 ERA in 12 starts last year so hopefully he can still show some flashes of his 4 different kinds of pitches to create lots ground balls.

Watched his every pitch today.

Although he did pitch well, he did not pitch as good as the numbers would indicate.

His velocity was not great and he was also wild.
