MILWAUKEE (AP) The Cincinnati Reds blew their biggest lead since 1930, falling 10-9 to the Milwaukee Brewers in 10 innings Wednesday night after leading by nine runs.

Bill Hall drove in the winning run with a bunt single in the 10th inning, and tied it with a three-run double in the eighth. The Reds last wasted a 9-0 lead on Sept. 28, 1930, in a 13-11 loss to the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field.
Trent Durrington led off the 10th with ground-rule double off Tood Van Popple (1-1) that hit off the top of the right-field wall. Scott Podsednik, who had four hits, then sacrificed Durrington to third before Hall bunted him in.

Dave Burba (2-0) pitched the 10th for the victory.

BULLPEN'S GET WORSE BY THE YEAR...

NOT NEARLY THE AMOUNT OF DOMINANT CLOSERS AS WE HAVE HAD IN THE LAST FEW YEARS EITHER..

USED TO BE NEN, RIVERA, HOFFMAN, WAGNER, GORDON, HAWKINS, ALFONSECA, GAGNE, PERCIVAL, AND OTHERS WERE ALMOST SURE FIRE SAVES...

JUST A COUPLE YEARS LATER, SEVERAL OF THEM ARE NOW "MIDDLE" RELIEVERS, OR JUST NOT AS EFFECTIVE.....

GAGNE SEEMS TO BE THE MOST DOMINANT NOW....

El Diablo, just noticed your post. Your problem is with a regualar reply like this one I assume? You might want to log out completely from the Rx. and then try again. If that doesn't help the best I can offer it that you open a thread tomorrow during the day and ask the same question. The moderators on during the day can get more help for you than I can.

It happens. I went 1-3 today even though every team I backed outhit their opponents. I mean how does Texas go up against the pathetic Royals staff and pen and get 13 hits and only 3 runs with their staff ace pitching? The Royals seem to give that up every game during the last 3 innings against everyone else!!!
