I saw high5foryou's question about visiting Vegas during midweek or weekends. Horseshoe listed some of his favorite restaurants. Anyone have any favorites not on his list?

I heard the Lotus of Siam is one of the best Thai food restaurants in the country. I also saw a show about Vegas on the Travel Channel that mentioned a sea food buffet for around $50 that was well worth it since it was all-you-can-eat. Does anyone know where that is?

If you like Italian you will be hard pressed to beat Chicago Joe's at 820 S. 4th Street. Just a few blocks down from The Plaza downtown.

I usually go for lunch mid-afternoon as that fits my schedule best. Luncheon food is just as good as dinner but prices are more favorable.

We (two of us) usually have a salad, entree and glass of wine each. Always get the house dressing (creamy garlic) and extra garlic bread. Seems like lunch runs maybe $25 or so plus tip.

Man, I love this place!! Can't wait 'til next Vegas visit so I can go to Chicago Joe's!!

the best meal Ive ever had was at the RIO SEAFOOD Dinner Buffett.

That was amazing

Is it still going?

The buffett on the casino ground floor at one end. ITs like $25 for dinner all you can eat and seafood dishes (dozens of them) that are just all stunning

Best buffet at any price is Bellagio's. Best for money is Main Street Station. Unfortunately for my waist I have been to them all.

Really miss having no In-n-Out Burger here in Florida.

I also miss BAJA'S FRESH MEXICAN GRILL.

Fishhead is a 'square' when it comes to value plays.

Sure, Aqua and Olives and Prime are all great places, but overpriced also. Landrys is ridiculous.........pay $25 for Prime Rib in Vegas. C'mon.

Circus Circus Steakhouse, Hugo's in the 4 queens are the 'sharp' gourmet value plays. Great places.

Battistas is a nice hole in the hole, I like it.

Same for the great Bellagio Buffut. SECRET: They have counter seating, never a wait!

Ellis Island $4.95 Sirloin Steak is the best deal in town, have it with their brewed root beer.

FEZZIK-

LOL!!

True, those places are expensive, but still good.

Also, saying I am a SQUARE on Vegas food value plays may be the first thing you have been remotely wrong on posting in this forum.......and you missed this one by a LONGSHOT.

For a fun, and inexpensive meal try the California Pizza Kitchen adjacent to the Mirage horse book. Very good pizza. You can watch horse racing on the giant screen from most tables.
