I have been watching Griffey this year and it makes me wonder what could have been if this guy stayed healthy? Would people even be talking about Bonds? The "Kid" looks healthy now and he looks great. He still has the sweetest swing I have ever seen.

He has 484 Hr and 1391 RBI for his career.

But from 2001 - 2004 he has just 46 HR and 118 RBI

From 1989 - 2000 he hit 438 HR and had 1273 RBI

During that time he averaged over 36 HR and 100 RBI per season. And that was also during a time when 36 and 100 was still great.

If he would have stayed healthy, I believe he would have had over 600 hr and 1600 RBI now.

Plus the guy is still just 34 yrs old!

There is no doubt in my mind that if he stayed healthy his whole career he would be considered a top 3 player of all time and easily could have hit 800 hr by the time his career ended.

I also believe that if he COULD stay healthy from now on, he can still hit over 600 HR's

What do you guys think?
