Fezzik's cover piece is interesting reading, but keep in mind one thing. It really doesn't matter what the governor or state legislature want, federal law right now bans sports betting in ALL areas that don't have it or did not authorize it before '93. And as long as the media's favorite Senator, John McCain, and his AZ buddy Jon Kyl are around, don't look for that to change anytime soon...

Many feel that the federal law in unconstitional, and therefore it is subject to being appealed.

Fezzik, you're right, it very well could be, although an appeal would take years. I seem to remember a Wall Street Journal story five years ago or so that indicated Miss. casino interests were considering a challenge, but obviously nothing came of it. NJ and Miss ought to put their heads together, if they're sincerely interested...
