Tonight's Red Sox-Orioles game rained out
By Boston.com, 4/13/2004

The Red Sox-Orioles game scheduled for 7 p.m. tonight has been postponed due to rain.

Derek Lowe was scheduled to make his Fenway debut. The game hasn’t been rescheduled, but Terry Francona has already decided on his rotation for the rest of the week. According to Boston radio station WEEI-850, Derek Lowe will keep his spot in the rotation and pitch tomorrow.

Tim Wakefield will then be bypassed in the rotation and Pedro Martinez will pitch Thursday’s game against the Orioles. Wakefield will get the nod on Friday night in the nationally televised first game of the Yankees series, with Curt Schilling pitching Saturday, Bronson Arroyo Sunday and Lowe on Monday.

Martinez will not pitch in the series against the Yankees.

Fans holding tickets for tonight's game are asked to hold on to those tickets, which will be good for admission on the make-up date when it is announced. There are no refunds or exchanges.
