Honesty is the best policy

I made a bet on Over in the Newcastle/Arsenal game yesterday. The final was 0-0, so obviously it went under. When I checked my balance this morning, the book had incorrectly graded it a win instead of a loss.
I called up the book and explained their mistake. They thanked me and gave me a $50 match play bonus for my honesty.
This just goes to show you that honesty is the best policy.

GD...you are 100% correct sir...I have done this in the past and the book will usually throw you a toke if your honest with them..

I played the over as well and I think this was one of those "wink, wink" matches and I didn't see it coming. Arsenal was happy with a point to keep their undefeated streak going and Newcastle was fine with a valuable point in their battle for fourth place and the final Champion's League spot. Both teams, especially Arsenal, have played a lot of matches in a short span and now Newcastle have a Wednesday second leg matchup vs PSV Eindhoven. This was a spot where both teams played like they were happy with a 0-0 final right from the opening kickoff.
