Looks like a beautiful day at Wrigley with the win blowing IN. Why not take a shot over the very low 6.5 total (-117 Pinn.). Neither Maddux or Benson are shut-out pitchers.

I hate baseball, the game is boring and stupid. Maddux career has been a fraud created by umps. Take the + vs Maddux

Moon - if the wind was blowing out the total would be around 11 flat. In order to bet over such a low total in a ballpark like Wrigley the wind has to be a factor, not to mention the cold.

So the umps created his 4 Cy Young awards? Why exactly didn't they create any others like him? I would think there may be some other pitchers who would like to have won 15+ games for 16 years in a row. Does he give good head or something? Maddux is one of the greatest pitchers ever, period.

How to beat a very low total in less than two full innings by the Cubs and Pirates - walk the opposing pitcher, then give up two RBI base hits with two outs. Take the field, and commit three errors leading to two un-earned runs. Easy pickens today boys.

other observations, the typical Cub fan is 100 lbs overweight, Roger Clemens is the bset pitcher in NL next to Beckett. I am up big profit betting against Maddux since the strike zone change 5 years ago, and baseball is not a watchable sport.

Has to be a very scary sign for Maddux going forward with 5 walks in less than 4 innings after giving up 2 in 6 innings first start. Way out of character for a guy that usually walks one about every other game. This guy only stays in the league with his control, if he continues to show signs of losing that there will be plenty of money to be made going against him until the public catches up.
