...this team can't hit. its the same old thing...the cubs can't score runs. this team is full of guys who don't walk. too many free swinging, right-handed bats in the lineup. on-base percentage will be around the worst in baseball this year...just watch.

i know prior is out and if he can come back healthy, they can make a good run. but, if i was a cub fan and i saw that sports illustrated cover last week, i'd be pissed.

Very true ...But there isn`t alot in the NL right now, the WEST is horrible, it may be the worst division I have ever seen...I think Houston is just as good as Chicago...Its early though Blue, they will score enough.
Both Houston and Chicago should win atleast 95 gms.

I am just wondering why you say everyone is ready to hand them the pennant. They have a shot at it, but certainly a crowded field of contenders in the NL this year.

cubs were 92.5 - 94. don't remember the astros. i pounded the cubs under 94 pretty hard.

just watch...this team can't score runs. it'll get worse when the outfielders start getting hurt. i expect all three to be on the dl at some point this year.

Phightin' Phils & Fighting Fish, plus a scrappy SF, Atl, & SD in the NL mix?

If Padilla and Wolf can be more consistent, plus Burrell & Milton return to form..lookout!

Still, Philly, Hou, and Chi all had high bars set, and 2 of the 3, should finish one to three games below their set numbers.

cubs will be just fine...when the weather warms up , so will the bats..

this is the most offense the cubs have had in some time, to go along with the best pitching staff in the National League, especially starters.....

Sosa, Grudzelanik, Lee, Alou, Ramirez, Patterson, and Gonzalez will be just fine hitting...thats actually a pretty good hitting lineup.....

Cubbies looked very good today - 14 hits, 10 runs beating the Braves 10-2 behind an 11 strikeout, 7 inning, 5 hit performance by Kerry Wood.
