How long before Stations is #1?

It is amazing to me the many individuals that rave about Vegas, and yet have never stepped foot into a STATIONS property.

Green Valley Ranch and Sunset Station are quite possibly my two favorite casinos in the entire city.

Those two are very nice Fish, yet they have a number of properties that are falling more in the budget category.
Palace Station is old and run down.
Boulder Station, I haven't been to in years, but I know I could get a room for 25 bucks there right now.
Texas is so-so.
The Fiesta's are outright dumpy. (This coming from someone who worked at Fiesta during its heyday, the Maloof pre-Palms era).
They do own a small percentage of the Palms (not a lot of people are aware of this).
Their biggest asset may be the new Indian casino in Cali. near Reno.

I don't understand why they separated MGM and Mirage on those figures, they are the same company now.

Since we are on the gaming topic, I'm still a big fan of the turnaround Caesar's is doing. The stock is up about 100% in the last year. You can't beat their location on the Strip, right smack in the middle with Bally's, Paris, Caesar's, and Flamingo.
And they derive a large portion of profits from two places in South Africa.
If you get to Vegas soon, check out what they are doing at Caesar's Palace, that place is gonna be huge.

The sportsbook is only one small aspect of STATIONS.

The main reasons I like most of their properties are.........

FOOD
WOMEN
COMPS
PROMOTIONS
GOOD VIDEO POKER/SLOTS (however decreasing)
FEW TOURISTS
GREAT PLACE TO VIEW GAMES
CLEAN
EASY PARKING
FRIENDLY
CINIMAS

I think they are still partners with the Greenspun family (Newspaper magnates) with Barley's, and I believe Greenspun has some interest in GVR as well.
Used to live close to Barley's, nice little place, enjoyed the beer and the pizzas.

Their biggest dump you didn't even mention: Wild Wild West. They plan to rebuild there after they get Red Rock up and running. We can talk all we want about how nice some of their places are and how much money they make, but lets face it they are a case study in riding government officials with tons of influence and questionable relationship to earn a near monopoly on their business. The State has pretty much handed them a no-lose position by blocking gaming in just about every place they or Coast (soon to be Boyd) don't own land.
